Moyness House ... boutique guest house in Inverness city centre ... luxury Inverness B&B accommodation
We are happy to help!
We want our bed and breakfast guests to have the best experience of Inverness and the Highlands, so if you have any queries about the local area let us know. We don't always know the answer but we will help if we can. Our Inverness guesthouse is well located for the city centre, restaurants, shops and cafes, as well as the theatre, River Ness, Aquadome, Highland Games and many other best loved Highland events and attractions.
The Castle Gallery
We are very fortunate to have several artworks on loan from the Castle Gallery, including works by Nicola Slattery, Shazia Mahmood, and John Brunsdon. To see more works by these artists and others, including ceramics, glassware and jewellery, visit the Castle Gallery, located in Castle Street, Inverness. (For more information about the Castle Gallery please go to our Inverness page and click on the link to their website).
Moyness House and Neil Gunn
Moyness House was the home of the acclaimed Scottish author, Neil M Gunn (1891 - 1973), during the nineteen twenties. Gunn, who was a leading light in the "Scottish Renaissance", was living here when he wrote and published his first novel, Grey Coast (1926). The works of Neil Gunn have inspired the names of the 6 bedrooms at Moyness House (Highland River, Silver Darlings, Morning Tide, Lost Glen, Green Isle and Neil Gunn).
