The City of Inverness is the capital of the Highlands and makes an ideal base for exploring many historic attractions and for viewing magnificent scenery. - Beautiful walks along the River Ness and its small islands linked by a series of Victorian footbridges (the river is less than five minutes walk from Moyness House).
- Take an open top bus tour around the town visiting Culloden Battlefield as well.
- Go on a dolphin watching cruise on the Moray Firth, or take a boat trip down the Caledonian canal to Loch Ness and the Nessie exhibition at Drumnadrochit
